ProTalk 446

Kenwood ProTalk Digital and Analogue, Licence-Free PMR 446 professional two way radio.

PMR446 was initially conceived as a European licence-free two-way radio system. First introduced in Eire in 1998, a year later it was rolled out in the UK where it successively replaced the former licensed Short Range Business Radio (SRBR) service.

Unlike mobile phones, with PMR446 calls are unlimited and free and there are no subscription charges or licence applications to complete, making them ideal in situations where voice communication is required over distances of up to 6km (more with the new Kenwood ProTalk models). Widely recognised as the preferred choice of professional users, Kenwood's ProTalk® PMR446 was first launched in 1999 and is now in its fourth product generation.

The new Kenwood ProTalk Digital and ProTalk Analogue models share the DNA of their predecessors and continue to build on the ProTalk reputation for providing demanding users across hundreds of applications with instant, reliable radio communication in rugged, durable handsets.
